His mother died while he was four and his father at ten, he was brought up as an orphan. However he was raised well, he memorized the Qur-aan proficiently at the age of eleven, he then went on to study under the scholars of his area as well as those who came to visit from elsewhere. He was serious about his studies and put in a lot of effort until he attained the lions share from all sciences. At twenty three he started teaching, he was teaching and learning at the same time, spending all his time in that until he became the focal point of teaching in his area, all students used to study under him.
