Variations of the ‘Eid Takbeer

The saying of Allah the Elevated:

and that you practice Takbeer of Allah for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him. [Al Baqarah: 187]

As San’ani stated: The explanation of a variety of wordings from a number of Imams shows that the issue is expansive, and the generality of the Ayah alludes to this. [Subul as-Salam: 2/101]

Allahu Akbaru Allahu Akbar, La Ilaha Ilallah, wal Allahu Akbaru Allahu Akbar, wa Lilahil Hamd. ^[1]

Reported on the authority of Sa’eed ibn Jubayr, Mujahid and ‘Abdur Rahman ibn Abi Laylah. [Lata-if al-Ma’arif : P.364].

Ibn Qudamah stated: It is the wording of ‘Umar, ‘Ali and ibn Mas’ood. Ath Thawri, Abu Hanifah, Ahmad and Ishaq took this opinion. [Al-Mughni: 3/290].
