I was Married from Over Seven Heavens

Al-Bukhari – may Allah have mercy upon him – collected on the authority of Anas – may Allah be pleased with him – that Zaynab bint Jahsh used to take pride over the wives of the Messenger - صلى الله عليه وسلم – saying:

Your families got you married, as for me, my Lord got me married from over seven heavens. Collected by al-Bukhari: 13:403-404.

Zainab and 'Aisha competed in virtue;

Zaynab said: "I am the one whose marriage descended from the heavens!

'Aisha said: "I am the one whose vindication descended from the heavens!"

So Zaynab conceded to 'Aisha - may Allah be pleased with her.

Ibn Jareer stated: Ibn Hameed narrated to us on the authority of Jareer ,who narrated on the authority of al-Mugheerah, on the authority of ash-Sha'bee who said:

Zaynab used to say to the Prophet - صلى الله عليه وسلم : There are three things that I can say about me, that none of your other wives can say:

 

1. Your grandfather and my grandfather are one [i.e. we are related through the same grandfather].
2. Allah married me to you from the heavens.
3. The ambassador/minister of the marriage was Jibreel - عليه السلام.

Note that in these Ahadeeth is a clear affirmation that Allah is above the heavens, contrary to innovated ideologies that Allah is everywhere.
