Amongst Allah’s beautiful names: Al ‘Alee al ‘Alaa. This signifies that all the meanings of elevation and loftiness are established for Allah from all angles.
He has the physical elevation [‘Uloo adh Dhaat]; meaning that He is over His throne, above all His creation, separated from them. At the same time He oversees their affairs, He sees His creation and disposes of both their manifest and hidden affairs. He speaks with His divine decree, His worldly disposition of affairs and His legislated rulings.
He has the Elevation of al Qadr [‘Uloo al Qadr]; it is the loftiness of His attributes and their magnificence, nothing from the creation has the likeness of His Attributes. Rather, all the creation together are unable to completely encompass some of the meanings of only one of His Attributes, Allah the Elevated says:
…but they will never encompass anything of His Knowledge [Taha: 110]
With this it is known that there is no like unto Him in any of His Attributes.
He has the Elevation of al Qahr [‘Uloo al Qahr]. He is al Waahid [the One] al Qahhaar [the Subduer], the One who subdues all creation with his Might and Elevation, they are under His control, whatever He wants to take place, there is no one that can prevent it, and whatever He does not want to come to pass will never take place. If all of the creation were to gather to create what He does not will, they will never be able to, and if they gather to prevent what He ordained they will never be able to. This is due to his full and complete capability, the coming to pass of whatever He wills and His full and complete subjugation of all creation from all angles.
So upon the Throne He rose, over the Kingdom [of the Heavens and Earth and all that is within them] He has possession and with all the Attributes of magnificence, grandeur, loftiness, beautifulness and absolute perfection He is ascribed.

من أسمائه الحسنى العلي الأعلى وذلك دال على أن جميع معاني العلو ثابتة لله من كل وجه
فله علو الذات. وهو أنه مستو على عرشه، فوق جميع خلقه، مباين لهم، وهو مع هذا مطلع على أحوالهم، مشاهد لهم، مدبر لأمورهم الظاهرة والباطنة متكلم بأحكامه القدرية، وتدبيراته الكونية، وبأحكامه الشرعية
وأما علو القدر فهو علو صفاته، وعظمتها فلا يماثله صفة مخلوق، بل لا يقدر الخلائق كلهم أن يحيطوا ببعض معاني صفة واحدة من صفاته، قال تعالى
وَلا يُحِيطُونَ بِهِ عِلْماً - طه ١١٠
وبذلك يعلم أنه ليس كمثله شيء في كل نعوته
وله علو القهر فإنه الواحد القهار الذي قهر بعزته وعلوه الخلق كلّهم، فنواصيهم بيده، وما شاء كان لا يمانعه فيه ممانع، وما لم يشأ لم يكن فلو اجتمع الخلق على إيجاد ما لم يشأه الله لم يقدروا، ولو اجتمعوا على منع ما حكمت به مشيئته لم يمنعوه، وذلك لكمال اقتداره، ونفوذ مشيئته وشدة افتقار المخلوقات كلها إليه من كل وجه
فهو الذي على العرش استوى وعلى الملك احتوى، وبجميع صفات العظمة والكبرياء، والجلال والجمال وغاية الكمال اتصف وإليه فيها
