The Closing of the Doors of Success

Shaqeeq ibn Ibraheem - may Allah have mercy upon him - stated:

The doors of success have been shut upon the creation because of six reasons:

1. Their preoccupation with the favors of Allah instead of being grateful to Allah for them.


2. Desire for knowledge while abandoning worship.


3. Hastiness to sin, but delaying repentance.


4. The deception of having righteous companions, but not taking them as examples.


5. The turning away of the dunya from them, while they pursue it.


6. The approach of the afterlife towards them, while they turn away from it.
