وأَما ابناؤه- صلى الله عليه و سلم - فهم

القاسم. وبه كان يكنى، مات طفلاً. وقيل: إنه عاش إلى أَن ركب الدابة

عبدالله. واختلف في مولده هل ولد بعد النبوة أَو قبلها. وقيل أنه الطيب والطاهر

إبراهيم. ولد بالمدينة من سريته مارية القبطية سنة ثمان من الهجرة، ومات طفلاً قبل الفطام

وأَما بناته فهن

زينب

رقية

أُم كلثوم

فاطمة

وكلهن من خديجة. وكل أَولاده توفي قبله إلا فاطمة فانها تأخرت بعده بستة أَشهر

His - صلى الله عليه و سلم - sons are:

1. Al Qasim, his [the Messenger's] Kunya was Abul Qasim. He died as a child, it was also said that he lived long enough to mount a riding animal.

2. ‘Abdullah – they differed as to when he was born - either before or after Prophet-hood. It was also said that his name was at Tayyib and at Tahir.

3. Ibraheem, the son of Mariyah al Qutbiyyah. He was born in Madeenah, eight years after the Hijrah, he died as a child before the weaning period.

His daughters are:

1. Zainab.

2. Ruqayah.

3. Umm Kalthoom.

4. Fatimah.

All of them are the daughters of Khadijah, and all of them died before him except Fatimah, she died six months after him.
